Politics is anything but predictable, and at a time when the Labour Party is in turmoil and the next Assembly election is less than eight months away, Plaid Cymru is to open its party conference with a debate about the night sky. Party members will discuss light pollution, the beauty of Wales on a clear night, and the opportunities of marketing the view of the stars as a tourist attraction.
It wants 'dark sky sites' to help budding astronomers to see the night sky more easily.
