ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS FANS remember the fire of Randy Johnson's fastball and the fury of Curt Schilling's mental domination of National League batters.
Together, they brought Arizona a world championship in 2001 and memories of having arguably the best one-two punch since Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale for the Dodgers in the 1960s. Both had fastballs that neared triple-digit miles-per-hour. Both struck fear into the hearts of any batter that dug in at the plate, the kind of fear that Bob Gibson used to inspire.
