The list of candidates to become the next Minneapolis police chief has been narrowed from 17 to three.
Mayor R.T. Rybak today will interview the city's current interim chief, Tim Dolan, University of Minnesota Police Chief Greg Hestness and Seattle Assistant Chief Nicholas Metz, according to sources familiar with the process. The candidates were interviewed Friday by the mayor's advisory committee on selecting a police chief.
Jeremy Hanson, Rybak's spokesman, said he couldn't disclose the candidates' names because of the state Data Practices Act.
