She may be down, but she's far from out.
Katie Couric's debut week as solo anchor of "CBS Evening News'' was a monster smash, even though her numbers dropped every day.
Long a Nielsen cellar-dweller, "Evening News'' won last week's network-news race with an average of 10.2 million total viewers _ its first blue ribbon since June `01.
According to the Katie Calculator, that's up 3.7 million viewers from the same period last year and almost 3 million from Bob Schieffer's swan song the week of Aug. 28.
