ATLANTA, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IntercontinentalExchange , the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced new daily trading records for ICE Futures, its regulated futures subsidiary.

On September 11, volume in the ICE Gas Oil futures contract reached an all-time high of 118,909 contracts, exceeding the July 10, 2006 record of 110,498 contracts by 7.6%. The contract is the world's leading heating oil futures contract by traded volume.

Also on Monday, the fully electronic, cash-settled ICE WTI Crude futures contract set an open interest record of 336,665 contracts. Yesterday's exchange-wide volume of 549,991 contracts marked the third ...
