Sep. 12--Three firefighters and a code enforcement officer will be added to the city budget, Aberdeen City Council members decided Monday night. In what was to be the second reading Monday, the council made several amendments to the proposed $48.8 million city budget. The council will discuss the budget again Monday. Council members proposed adding three paramedic firefighters because the three fire stations aren't properly staffed. Aberdeen Mayor Mike Levsen said he didn't add the positions to his proposed budget because he thought the firefighters would be a part of the new proposed fire facilities.
