With eight restaurants under his belt, John Alonge is--no pun intended--a seasoned entrepreneur in the food and beverage industry.
But unlike his past ventures into restaurant ownership in places such as Paris and San Francisco, the 53-year-old Alonge's current role in San Diego allows him the freedom to work in an industry he loves without the day-to-day hassles of running a restaurant.
Alonge is owner of the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center, a business that celebrated its one-year anniversary this summer. Although still relatively new, the center has experienced near instant success, reporting $419,000 in revenues in its first six months. Next year, ...
