NEW YORK--Bad breath continues to be the bane of many Americans, and solutions to the problem have become more sophisticated in recent years.
Part of the difficulty is that bad breath, or halitosis, can stem from diverse causes, ranging from eating certain food items to digestive disorders, from bacteria in the tongue to dry mouth resulting from taking certain prescription drugs.
