PORTLAND, Maine -- TD Banknorth Inc. (NYSE: BNK) announced today that William J. Ryan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and John W. Fridlington, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, will participate in panel discussions at the RBC Capital Markets Financial Institutions Conference at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston on Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Mr. Fridlington will be participating on the Credit Quality Panel at 8:30 a.m. ET and Mr. Ryan will be participating on the Canadian Banks in the U.S. Panel at 11:45 a.m. ET.
