Sep. 14--Stabbing victim airlifted to Denver A woman was taken to a Denver hospital Tuesday by Flight for Life after her live-in boyfriend allegedly stabbed her. The victim, Irene Montoya, whose age was not released, sustained a severed artery. Eloy Phillip Garcia, 39, was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, violation of a protection order and domestic violence. He is in jail without bail pending advisement in court. Police responded to reports of a stabbing at 5:15 p.m. at the home the couple shared in the 1500 block of East Fourth Street.
