PINEVILLE, N.C. _ Fallen TV evangelist Jim Bakker returned to the scene of his glory and his crimes Saturday and said he plans to preach again _ maybe in Charlotte.
On a one-day prison furlough to visit his ailing father, Bakker ambled through New Heritage USA, visited the remains of his burned-down house and gave an indication of what he will do when he goes free Sept. 2.
Bakker kept intact his prison record of spurning all media requests for interviews. But while feeding lunch to his father, Raleigh, in a second-floor room at Mercy Hospital South, Bakker responded in writing through his lawyer to several questions.
