Two things turn up over and over again in Atlantans' conversations about Atlantic Station: They were both surprised and impressed by the success of the project.
Friday, the Banks Working Group -- a five-member committee appointed by city and county elected leaders to find a workable solution to the long-delayed riverfront Banks project -- is expected to name partnership AIG/Carter as the master developer choice for the $600 million 15-acre development.
That's the same group which developed and continues to develop Atlantic Station, Atlanta's highly praised "city within a city" development.
