Sep. 15--NEW YORK -- A series of detailed sketches and striped garments in Jay McCarroll's Seventh Avenue studio serve as proof: Lurking beneath the black clothing, high drama, and unabashed use of expletives is a talented designer.
These pieces form an edgy collection of men's and women's gear McCarroll calls Transport. He will debut the line this evening under the Bryant Park tents as Spring 2007 Fashion Week wraps up.
