LONDON is too expensive but it won't drive me out, just yet.
Having lived in the city all my life I can honestly say the changes in prices over the last decade have been astronomical. Everything has gone up so I have compromised.
I save about [pounds sterling]100 a month by cycling everywhere instead of using public transport. Of course, this has been gobbled up by rises in my utility and council bills but at least I'm breaking even.
However, these days I tend to live and work in London but play elsewhere.
It costs only [pounds sterling]80 to fly to Prague and back for the weekend. But it is [pounds sterling]18 for a couple to see a film in High Street ...
