Sep. 15--Stewart Airport would like to add flights just about anywhere.
But if there's one place it especially wants to launch more service, it's Florida.
Yesterday, they got it.
Allegiant Air announced it will start flying in December to St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, giving Stewart direct service to the popular destination once again.
It's a key market for the airport. Between vacationers, retirees and locals with family down there, Tampa has long been one of Stewart's most popular destinations.
"This isn't just snowbird country," said airport president Charles Seliga.
