EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambrex Corporation (AMEX: CBM), today reported net income of $2.1 for the first quarter ended March 31, 1994, an increase of 19% over the first quarter 1993. 
On a per share basis (fully diluted), the Company reported net income equal to 38 cents per share compared with 34 cents for the first quarter of 1993. 
Net revenues increased to $51.0 million from $47.6 million in the corresponding period of a year ago.  The $3.4 million of higher sales was due to the Viscosity Oil fiber optic gel acquisition as of March 12, 1993 and the acquisition of Seal Sands Chemicals Ltd. on January 31, 1994.
