Sep. 17--Jeremy Hawes of Marysville won the 25-lap main event in the Speedway sprint division at Twin Cities Speedway Saturday night.
Hawes edged Tony Richards of Paradise at the finish line, winning by less than a foot. Hawes tried to pass Richards on the inside on lap 23 and failed to do so. On the white-flag lap, Hawes first tried to make a move on the outside between turns three and four, before darting inside down the front straight-away to capture the checkered flag. In other races, Joel Giusti of Yuba City, the reigning TCS champion, won the mini-stocks feature, Tony Gaoiran of Livermore won the SORA Sprint 100s main and ...
