Thousands of farm workers are on a 350-mile march through California this week. They are marching to honor Cesar Chavez. 
Chavez (say it chah-VEZ) founded and ran the United Farm Workers Union. He organized poor farm workers when they were worked under terrible conditions. He got better money, housing and working conditions for them. 
He is a hero to migrant farm workers all over the country. Migrants are men, women and even children who go from farm to farm to work in the fields. 
Saturday will be the first anniversary of Chavez's death.
