WASHINGTON, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fannie Mae today announced that the Board of Directors has elected Brenda Gaines and Karen Horn to the Board. Gaines will serve on the Board's Compensation and Housing and Community Finance committees, and Horn will serve on the Audit and Risk Policy and Capital committees.

Gaines, the former President and CEO of Diners Club North America at Citigroup, Inc. and Horn, the former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, become the sixth and seventh new directors named to the company's Board since 2004.
