GLENDALE -- Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta mounted one impressive drive all game against St. Francis of La Canada Flintridge, but the Falcons' lone march to the end zone in the second quarter Friday night was enough cause for concern in the Golden Knights' locker room at halftime.
``We're 16-6 at the half and that's a ballgame right there,'' St. Francis coach Jim Bonds said. ``(In the second half) we didn't want to give them any hope.''
Not only did the Golden Knights quickly erase any prospects of a comeback in the second half, they didn't allow C.V. much breathing room, period.
