Freddie Mac has hired a National City Corp. executive as its chief information officer.
James D. Hughes had been a branch banking division head and executive vice president at the Cleveland company, where he oversaw 11,000 employees and 1,250 retail banking branches in seven states. Before that he was Nat City's chief information officer.
The government-sponsored enterprise announced his hiring last week. He will join Freddie on Sept. 25 and will report to Joseph A. Smialowski, its executive vice president for operations and ...
