One of the worst fears employers have had about the Family and Medical Leave Act--that tracking the leave will be an administrative burden--has been realized, benefits experts say.
The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 "hasn't had any effect except [that] it has created a bureaucratic and recordkeeping problem," said John Goodwin, member of the Alexandria, Va.-based Society for Human Resource Management's legislative affairs committee.
