Sep. 19--A handful of African business people have traveled to Tulsa to attend the Oklahoma-International Trade and Investment Conference.
Initially, about 33 wanted to attend, but Visa problems prevented their coming, according to an event organizer with the Oklahoma Black Chamber of Commerce. Instead, anywhere from six to eight African individuals are attending the conference, which began Monday and runs through Friday. Femi Awogbade, the executive director of Intrass Ltd. in Nigeria, is among those who hope to make business contacts at the conference. It is his first visit to Tulsa.
