NEW YORK, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison of New York) announced yesterday that it will call for redemption on October 20, 2006 all of its outstanding 7.50% Public Income Notes, (7.50% Debentures, Series 2001 A) (corrected symbol, NYSE: EDV, cusip no. 209111814). Con Edison of New York intends to use borrowed funds to finance the redemption.
