Sep. 20--Barbecue like none Panama City has ever seen, smelled, tasted or maybe even imagined is on the menu this weekend at Carl Gray Park. The Southeastern Bud, Blues & Barbecue Festival will bring in 20 grilling teams in a regional competition sanctioned by the Memphis Barbecue Association as part of what the group selfconfidently calls the Super Bowl of Swine.
The finale from May 17 to 19 in Memphis, Tenn., is part of the month-long Memphis in May celebration -- what certified barbecue judge Walt Brown says is "our Mardi Gras."
The celebration also includes the Beale Street Music Festival, education and business events ...
