Sep. 21--People like to criticize Tiger Woods for his poor Ryder Cup record because, let's face it, the guy has had a disproportionate amount of success in everything else. The Ryder Cup, which begins Friday at the K Club in Ireland, represents the only blemish on his career.

In Irish terms, his 7-11-2 Ryder Cup record is like U2's "Pop" album. It's about as understandable as James Joyce's Finnegans Wake, which nobody understands.
