HOUSTON -- In a flurry of deals that further reshapes the services industry, Enterra Corp. and Weatherford International Inc. announced separate acquisitions that will solidify their positions as the world leaders in the oil field rental tool business.
Enterra Corp. announced Monday plans to acquire Total Energy Services Co. in a deal worth more than $310 million. Both companies are based in Houston.
Weatherford International Inc. of Houston, the world's leading oil field rental tool company, Friday disclosed it bought the oil field rental tool assets and business of Odfjell Drilling and Consulting Co. A/S (Odfjell Rental) of Norway for $55.2 million.
