ESPN Radio Boston is tackling a new identity by promoting itself as the gridiron guru.
ESPN Radio (890-AM and 1400-AM) is branding itself as "Boston's Football Station" and beefing up its football coverage in a bid to dominate the sport in the local radio market.
"ESPN is probably more associated with the (National Football League) than any other sport," said Program Director Len Weiner. "That's our competitive advantage."
