As the midterm elections approach, Republican candidates are wondering whether President George W. Bush's low approval ratings will hurt them with voters.

They may not be the only ones caught in a downdraft.

The administration-friendly Fox News Channel appears to be suffering from the same disaffection with Republican policies that is hurting the White House. The network has seen its prime-time ratings fall for 11 months in a row, and by double digits in the third quarter.

Though still the cable news leader by a wide margin, the home of Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity is coming up on its 10th anniversary next month ...
