Sep. 22--Imagine planning a four-day cross-country trip with the kids ... all 76 of them.
This was the task presented to the Rock Bridge football team, which traveled to Las Vegas last week for a high school football game against Bishop Gorman on Saturday night.
Ever since news of the Sept. 16 game became public in the summer, Rock Bridge Coach A.J. Ofodile did his best to temper the enthusiasm of playing a high school football game in a glitzy location. He routinely described the excursion to southern Nevada as a business trip. He wasn't kidding. There was no wink-wink or sly smile from Ofodile when the words "business trip" ...
