Sep. 22--RADFORD -- They have the same number plastered to the door. From there, the resemblance between Dennis Holdren's Late Model Stock car and Mod4 car begins to plummet.
The former is a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The latter is a 1988 Ford Mustang.
The Late Model is a bulky 3,100 pounds. The Mod4 is a less-sturdy 2,300.
The heavier has a V-8 power plant under the hood. Its lighter counterpart carries the sluggish steam of a V-4.
But neither car has been sluggish in getting to the front lately at Motor Mile Speedway.
