Sep. 23--TORONTO -- Johnny Damon, the player the Red Sox deemed too expensive last winter, is going to the playoffs in his first season with the Yankees. Coco Crisp, Damon's successor in center field in Boston, is headed to the hospital next week for surgery to repair the same finger he broke in April. The same phraseology used by general manager Theo Epstein the night the Red Sox clobbered Pedro Martinez and the Mets in June applies: Johnny one, Computer Geeks nothing.
