Sep. 23--LEXINGTON -- The image is of an assault rifle plunged into a combat boot and capped by a helmet. The number 48 graces the helmet. "John 15:13" floats on the tattoo on Robert Frazier's right shoulder.
"It's a soldier's grave," Frazier explained. "The 48 is the number of men we lost."
The bible verse: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
On Tuesday afternoon, Frazier was part of VMI's New Market squad, sprinting and sweating to help the Keydets' football team practice for today's game with William and Mary.
