FOR the active, one of the main ways to boost the charities' coffers is to take part in one of the organised sponsored walks or even organise a sponsored event yourself.
Coombe Abbey Country Park in Coventry is the venue for the local walk arranged as part of the All Walk Together campaign by Cancer Research UK.
The walk takes place from noon on Sunday, October 8, and there's a choice of a 4km or an 8km ramble.
