Sep. 26--PTTEP EYES NIGERIA: PTT Exploration and Production Plc says it is preparing to bid for oil exploration licences in Nigeria and may form a joint venture with other oil companies.
Pairoj Rangponsumrit, PTTEP's senior manager for business development in the Middle East and Africa, said the company was studying bid terms and evaluating political risks in the African country, the Thai News Agency reported.
Nigeria is the world's sixth largest crude oil exporter capable of producing 3.5 million barrels per day. Its reserves have been estimated at 35.9 billion barrels.
