Sep. 26--A consortium including Kardan subsidiary Tahal Group and Triple R Energy, is planning to construct a pumped-storage hydroelectric power station at the Kochav Hayarden site in the Beit Shean Valley, at a total cost of NIS 140 million. The consortium believes that it will be able to construct the pumped-storage power station upon receipt of the statutory and Public Utilities Authority (Electricity) approvals. The station will include two large pools built at different levels. Falling water from one pool to the other is utilized to generate power.
