The City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal before the council presented Rs. 44.087 billion surplus budget of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) for fiscal year 2006-07 here.
However, there was pandemonium of the worst kind by the opposition with thumping of their desk, shouting and tearing up copies of the budget proposal as well as staged a walkout.
Soon after, the Nazim started his speech; the opposition members stood and demanded of him to include Rs. 6.4 million for UCs development. Reacting to the opposition's demand, the Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil said that in the Nazism's budget speech they would get the answer.
