We read with interest the recent article on etanercept and recalcitrant acrodermatitis continua of Hallopeau (ACH). (1) ACH is considered to be a particular form of palmoplantar pustular psoriasis, and is notoriously difficult to treat. Treatment options include systemic therapies such as acitretine, (2) dapsone, (2) PUVA, (2) methotrexate, (3) propylthiouracil, (3) minocyclin, (2) cyclosporin-A, (2) tetracyclines, (5) as well as topical treatments including corticosteroids, tars, calcipotriol, and tacrolimus.
