PARIS -- Faurecia SA's ceo has stepped down as German prosecutors probe bribery allegations against him and the company.

The Paris-based automotive interiors supplier said in a 2 Aug news release that Pierre Levi resigned as chairman and chief executive officer "as a consequence of the current judicial inquiry in Germany and in the best interests of the group."
