Howard Stern, Rick Dees and all the other high-paid morning radio deejays are taking a back seat to a pair of guys in their 20s who were picking strawberries and lemons in Ventura County not too long ago.
Meet -- or rather turn on -- Juan Carlos Hidalgo and his partner, "El Peladillo" (a Spanish expression meaning two-faced), whose legal moniker is Jesus Garcia. Their show comes blasting on at 5 a.m. on KLAX 97.9 FM six days a week, and they are Los Angeles County's radio kingpins with the No. 1-ranked radio show.
