Annual golf outing attracts 235 golfers
Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers (IAAP) held their annual golf outing on Aug. 14 at Piper Glen Golf Club and Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Ill. A total of 235 golfers signed up to play, and due to their strong support the outing raised $7,050 for IAAP's Science Teachers Workshop and $7,050 for IAAP's Political Action Committee.
Four challenge holes were held at each course. At Panther Creek Country Club, Jeff May, Vulcan Materials Co., made the longest fairway drive on hole 4; Rick Engleson, Lafarge, N.A., was closest to the pin on hole 5; Ron Geske, Material Service Corp., ...
