Sep. 29--Query designers on a decorating question, and you're likely to get a vast range of opinions, many of them conflicting. But on one point most agree: The cheapest and easiest way to change the look of a room is to change your accent pillows.
"People are often very hesitant to do something major to create some color and drama in a room, but a new pillow story can create a huge impact at a moderate cost," says James Rixner, an interior designer with offices in New York and New Hope.
