ENVIRONMENTALISTS in Sutton Coldf ield were celebrating today after the green box recycling scheme was introduced across the town.
Thousands of residents can now do their bit for the planet and put plastic and glass bottles and cans into a green box which is collected fortnightly.
The Birmingham City Council green box scheme follows a new garden waste collection service which was also launched earlier in the summer.
Dr Rob Pocock, environmental expert and author of the Sutton Coldfield Recycling Plan, said: "This is a substantial victory for the campaign we launched last spring, and it's yet another example of the massive impact that ...
