In a recent Newsweek interview, up-and-coming, twenty-something actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Mysterious Skin, Brick) bristled when referred to as a "celebrity." "No, sir. I'm an actor," he replied, going on to explain that the myth of celebrity has nothing to do with acting, with the work itself.
