Sep. 30--In only her third game, a healthy Katy Peetz notched the game-winning goal for the Creighton women's soccer team on Friday night.
The junior from Lincoln Pius X chipped in the only goal from five feet out in Creighton's 1-0 win over Kansas in front of a Bluejay women's record crowd of 1,251 at Morrison Stadium.
"It felt really good, especially because it was a Big 12 team it felt even better," Peetz said.
Peetz, who scored six goals last season, returned from injury last weekend during the Bluejay Classic, playing in both games and starting one.
