Oct. 1--DECATUR -- The parking lot of Millkin's Alpha Chi Omega was filled early Saturday morning, not just with the sorority sisters, but many of their families and other community members.
The large group trekked from the sorority house around Fairview Park for the chapter's annual 5K Walk Against Domestic Violence, co-sponsored by Dove Inc.
"The whole community really comes together for this," said Miranda Schuett, a member of Alpha Chi Omega and a junior at Millikin. "We go around to local companies, and many donate anything from money to plates and cups. There are people from Dove walking, as well as other ...
