Oct. 1--BLACKSBURG -- Talk about getting even.

Returning to the same stage where it was dealt its most lopsided loss in a decade a year ago, 24th-ranked Georgia Tech came into Lane Stadium on Saturday afternoon and exacted revenge, popping No. 11 Virginia Tech 38-27 in front of a stunned packed house.

Stealing a page from Virginia Tech's book, Georgia Tech blocked a punt that led to a touchdown and scored another TD on defense in producing the most points scored by a visiting team at Lane since Virginia beat the Hokies 42-23 in 1994.
