Oct. 1--HAMPTON -- There wasn't a cookie in sight at Saturday's Girl Scout Jamboree. Instead, there were race cars and their drivers. Weight lifting and golfing. And tips on changing a car's oil. More than 1,000 girls from the Girl Scout's Colonial Coast Council swarmed into Langley Speedway on Saturday for a day of fun filled with new opportunities for the girls, mostly pre-teens and younger. Some girls spent Friday night in tents on the infield.
