Oct. 2--Everything Felipe Alou was in his four seasons as Giants manager -- dignified, incisive, humorous and eloquent -- emerged in his all-but-official farewell Sunday. Alou, who essentially acknowledged in recent days that his contract will not be renewed, addressed his immediate future before and after the Giants' season-ending 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Once Alou officially is relieved of his role, which could happen as early as today, he expects to receive job offers from other clubs, although probably not to manage.
