Tokyo, Japan, Oct 2, 2006 - (JCN Newswire) - NEC Corporation announced that it has supplied High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) infrastructure systems to NTT DoCoMo, which successfully launched a HSDPA service in Japan on August 31, 2006.

Prior to this commercial service, NTT DoCoMo conducted a field trial of the high-speed network which NEC cooperated and supplied HSDPA infrastructure systems including node-B base stations and radio network controllers (RNC).
